Mixing liquids in flow. - In a machine for washing tumblers, cups and like hollow ware in which liquid disinfectant is added in small quantities to the washing water, means are provided such as a plugcock whereby the washing water creates a vacuum in a sight feed device to draw disinfectant through at a predetermined rate. The tumbler washing apparatus may be similar to that described in Specification 315,130, [Class 138 (i), Washing and cleaning buildings &c.], and comprises squeegees a, b, Fig. 1 carried in U-shaped members c, d, attached to stems e with holes f for egress of washing water. The stems are rotated by a motor g. Liquid is delivered by pipes k which are supplied by an ejector fitting shown in Figs. 3, 5. The pipe k is attached at m and the supply of liquid is by a branch at n. The conical plug o, Fig. 5 has a divergent passage p with branches p and r, leading therein. There is also a groove t connecting with a pipe u by which disinfectant is raised from a tank v by a passage w to a tube y delivering fluid past a glass z. Liquid under pressure in the supply mains is delivered by a pipe 4, Fig. 2 to branch n and to the divergent passage p creating a partial vacuum in passages r and 3 behind the glass z. When the cock o is turned to cut off the water supply disinfectant is cut off at the same time. The handle 5 operating the water cock moves a bar 5 in connection with a switch 9 for stopping the motor when water is cut off.
