Abstract

321,749. Scott, W. Aug. 28, 1928. Stands and tilters.- Relates to stillages for barrels of the type comprising a pivotally mounted cradle having a limited angular movement and in which the cradle has V or U- shaped transverse members. According to the invention the cradle has two transverse members 9, 11 the member 9 being V-shaped, while the member 11 has an upturned lip 13 for. retaining the barrel against endwise movement. The stand comprises two inverted U-shaped legs 1, connected by tie bars 2, and the cradle is pivoted thereto at 5. The legs 1 are of angle section metal and the pivotal movement of the cradle is limited by contact with the inwardly directed flanges thereof.
