320,678. Loft Ladders, Ltd., and Berner, C. A. O. July 20, 1928. Ladders.-An attic ladder pivoted at or near its top end is combined with a trapdoor operated automatically by movements of the ladder by means of connecting rods 5 pivoted at 4 to the top of the ladder and to levers 6 which are pivoted at one end in the door recess and at the other end 10 are in sliding connection with a guide 12 on the door. The ladder may be pivoted at its top end, in which case the connecting rods are pivoted to extension rods on the ladder.
