Abstract

Wireless tuning-apparatus, adjustment devices for. - Adjustment mechanism for controlling a number of condensers &c., simultaneously and separately comprises rotatable gearing, the control shaft of which is displaced in order to effect the separate movements. In one construction, Fig. 1, the control shaft 1 is provided with left and right-hand worms 5, 7 driving condenser gear 6, 8, one operating-knob 10 having a right or lefthand screw-thread engagement with a panel fixing bush 4. Rotation of the operating-knob 2 alone adjusts both condensers simultaneously. while if both knobs 2, 10 are rotated together and the pitches of the threads 5, 7, 9 are equal, the shaft 1 is moved laterally so that one condenser remains stationary and the other receives a movement relatively thereto, the extent of movement being equal to the rotational plus lateral components. In a modification the shaft 1 is carried in a tubular member slotted to receive the gears 6, 8 which are provided with a helical spring for preventing back-lash. The movement of one of the operating knobs in this modification is limited by an arcuate groove and stop.
