Description
Infinitely variable gear transmission While the previously usual change gears of the motor vehicles by switching on the various gears alternately by hand or more or less automates the gear ratio in just a few To be able to change stages, the aim is to do what is described below with reference to the drawing, the transmission forming the invention stepless and non-shifting, flowing variability of the transmission ratio without interruption of the power transmission and full Automation, d. H. depending on the engine power and the respective load automatic regulation. It is a gear transmission, in contrast to the recently emerging fluid drives serving the same purpose.
The gear principle is based on the fact that the effective rotary arm of a driving wheel A fluent can be shortened and lengthened by eccentric Adjustment of the axially next to this driven wheel C. Both wheels are Movable in the radial direction, connected by a differential gear (driver = Pinion pair a, driver arms b), which is the radial Movements of the pinion pairs utilized so that the scope of the adjustable driven Wheel C unilaterally on the near or far point side a uniform and the effective Rotary arm of the driving wheel A receives moderate locomotion.
Construction and function of the gearbox: The driving wheel A is a driver disk shown with radial guides for the driver slides attached to the end face. The guide surfaces are designed as racks. In the driver carriage, which are the free ends of the adjustable around the axis of the Wheel C form pivotable driver arms b, a pinion pair a is mounted. This pinion hair on the one hand always grabs one of the two. Toothed racks of the guides in the face the drive plate A, on the other hand, it meshes with the ring gear of the adjustable Rades C. There is only one driving connection between the drive plate A and the adjustable wheel C must exist, the circulation of the Mitnehn iersystems be so much larger than .that of the adjustable wheel C, .that possibility of intervention there is only a limited amount between the two, e.g. B. with three drivers only to a third the sizes. If the drive plate A and the adjustable wheel C are coaxial, so With one turn, each pair of tickles takes the steeper one without a significant turn of its own Wheel C by a third of its circumference with. Now is the one wheel C compared to the other wheel (drive plate) A moved from the coaxial to an eccentric position, so on the near point side there is a shortening of the rotary arm of the drive plate A on. The Mitnelunerritzelpaar d makes rolling in the racks of the guides; when revolving more or less self-revolutions, which with analogous control the tickle pair a in the ring gear of the adjustable wheel C advance by so much let that the circumference of the adjustable wheel C in the course of one revolution of the drive plate A is only moved forward by as much as it is driven by a gear wheel with the radius of the shortest rotating arm would be moved. In the near and far point, that is, in the moment the standstill of the pinion's own revolutions, a transfer of the tickle pair must be done the one in the other rack of the guide. Will the adjustable wheel C in the opposite direction, .d. H. so that the engagement side is the far point side corresponds, shifted, causes the opposite direction of the proper turns of the Tickle pair approx a corresponding additional movement of the circumference of the adjustable wheel C. Theoretically there should be between the greatest reduction (Fig. 3) via the synchronism (Fig. 2) up to the largest gear ratio (Fig. Q :) all sub-ratios or gear ratios be infinitely variable. With the moving connection between the two wheels A and C, every change in position inevitably leads to adaptive movements in the Differential gear; so that any changes within given limits without Interruption of the power transmission can take place fluently.
Does the movement run in the opposite direction from the adjustable wheel C to drive plate A, then the gear effect is also reversed.
The simple one required to change the gear ratio The process of adjusting the wheel C can be fully automated with the help of known devices (swing regulator, etc.) do not cause any difficulties.
For using the gearbox with a fixed drive and working part there are several possibilities.
So wäre z. So z. B. imaginable a transmission that has a continuously variable transmission of the type described on the drive and on the working side]. Parts A and C on the drive side (Fig. 5 to 7) correspond to parts B and C on the working side. The adjustable wheels C and C can be moved together, in permanent engagement with one another. (The respective gear ratio is shown in Figs. 6 and 7 by dotted circles.) Instead of two adjustable wheels C, a double gearwheel (Fig. S) could also suffice. The parts A and B are coaxial, the adjustable double gear C with its bearing D is radially displaceable between the two. The engagement side between the driver and the ring gear C is close to the A, and remote from B. The rotary movement is passed on in the same direction of rotation.
In its simplest form, the stepless transmission described only needs another working part B (Fig. 9). The adjustable wheel C is shaped like an arc of a circle with the radius .des distance between the axes of the drive and working part with his Bearing around the working axis, it is with the work gear B, on which it unrolls when there is a change in position, in continuous intervention. (C in Fig. 9 with reduction pulled out, dashed synchronism, dotted translation.) The practical meaning of the transmission lies in the mechanically achievable highest possible protection of the Motor by adapting to. the respective load conditions and the whole Chassis due to the omission of the shift shocks. Increase in driving comfort and the driving safety, since if one of the automatic regulation The possibility of influencing the transmission by the driver is provided, a separation of the Motor from the chassis while driving is never necessary.
