Kinematograph apparatus.-Continuous-feed apparatus comprises means forming a framing aperture moving with the film, a curved film support, and reflecting means for optical compensation. As shown, the film passes from a spool 1, over a roller 4, a cylindrical glass plate 5, a roller 6, and a sprocket 7, to a spool 3. A disc 10 having spiral apertures is rotated between the light source 8 and the plate 5 to frame two images simultaneously; a simple lens 20 and a ring 24 carrying plane mirrors 22, 23, and rotating on rollers 28, produce superposed stationary images on a screen 37. The apertures in the disc 10 may each extend over 180‹, or, as shown in Fig. 4, may. extend through 360‹, may be displaced 180‹ relatively to each other, and may be interrupted to form smaller apertures 16, 19, such that the illumination of each image grows from zero to a maximum and diminishes again to zero, and such that the projection of one image begins when the illumination of the preceding one is at a maximum. The disc 10 may be dispensed with, by displacing the halves of the reflector 9, or by employing a prism in conjunction with a condenser. The mirrors 22, 23 may be concave, the lens 20 being then dispensed with, and the cylindrical glass plate 5 may be replaced by an apertured metal plate, or by a rotary glass or metal cylinder which may be provided with feeding teeth. Means is described for relatively adjusting the mirrors 22, 23.
