Abstract

319,266. Sommer, A. June 28, 1929. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 20, 1929]. Bending. - Strips of wood 27 are pressed between a fixed roller 26 and a mould 11 rotated by an electric motor through gearing and the shaft 10. Pressure is imposed by a screwed rod 17 which moves laterally the carriage 3 carrying the motor and gearing, a slot 13 in the fixed table top allowing for the movement of the shaft 10. The bent wood is secured to the mould by the clamps 28. In an alternative construction the motor, mould, &c. can be fixed and the table top and roller moved.
