Abstract
318,826. Universelle Cigarettenmaschinen-Fabrik J. C. M³ller & Co., and Voigt, W. March 1, 1929. Packeting materials in boxes.- Boxes which are being fed along a feed track formed by a table e, Fig. 2, and rails c, d, are opened by the action of a rotating roller g, which raises the lid so that it can be engaged and completely opened by a curved rail q, Fig. 5. The lower surface of the rail q bears on the box body and prevents it from rising from the table. A resilient rail f is disposed on the rail c so as to bear on the hinged wall of the lid and urge the lid to the left and to facilitate the disengagement of the lid from the box body. The surface of the roller g may be roughened, ribbed, grooved, or coated with rubber, and the axis may be inclined to the horizontal plane of the feed track as shown in Fig. 1<a>.
