Disc-tool and rotary-tool implements; rollers, land; adjusting parts.-An implement for aerating grass land comprises a series of wheels B of uniform diameter, rotatable about a common axis, so as to constitute a sectional roller, and a series of turf cutting or perforating discs or members C of larger diameter arranged alternately with the wheels and rotatable about a common axis which is eccentric to that of the roller. The wheels B and discs C are arranged alternately on a shaft A carried in bearing brackets D on a framing consisting of transverse members E and draught shafts F. The shaft A is square, polygonal, or splined and is normally prevented from rotating. The wheels B are rotatably mounted on sleeves G and the discs C on eccentric collars H, the sleeves and collars being threaded on the shaft A. The eccentric collars H are adjustable angularly to vary the depth of cut of the discs C by partially rota'ting the shaft A and locking it by means of a lever engaging with a locking segment K. By turning the shaft A through 180‹ the lower parts of the discs C may be withdrawn within the roller and their upper parts projected outside it, for transporting or rolling purposes. The wheels B may have plain, ribbed, o'-' roughened surfaces. The discs C may have plain or interrupted cutting edges, or may be replaced by members having radial spikes.
