318,128. Huguenin, G., Davoine, P. Huguenin-, and Dubois, A., (trading as Huguenin FrÞres et Cie). Aug. 28, 1928, [Convention date]. Attaching watches to belts. - A watch is hingedly attached to a buckle or other fastening or ornament for a belt so that while the dial may be exposed when desired it normally lies close against the buckle &c. As shown, the watch is hinged at 9, at its lower edge to fold into a recess 2 in a belt fastening 1 so that the dial normally lies close against the back of the recess, and is retained therein by manually releasable catches 12 which engage notches 15 in the sides of the recess. The watch may be turned down into the position shown to expose the dial, by pushing the watch outwardly, thus releasing the catches 12. A spring on the hinge 9 holds the watch in the open position. The casing or fastening 1 is formed with U-shaped extensions on either side of the recess 2 which carry pins 3, 4 for the attachment of the free and fixed ends of the belt.
