Abstract

315,236. K÷gel, G. April 3, 1928. Sensitive layers; photo-mechanical printing- surfaces.-To obtain differentially-tanned colloid images, a colloid layer is sensitized with an organic light-sensitive dyestuff or with a quinone which is not a dyestuff, and after exposure is treated with a chromate. In one example sodium 2.7 anthraquinone disulphonate is used. In another example an emulsion prepared from 10 parts gelatin, 2 parts colcothar, 1 part glycerin, and 0.5 part of stilbene phenylazonium chloride is used on paper. The images obtained may be dyed or pigmented, or used for making photomechanical printing - surfaces. Specification 296,008 as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) of the Acts is referred to.
