Hoods.-In hoods having hoop-sticks provided with runners arranged to run on cantrails the hoop-sticks are connected to the runners in such a manner that they may swivel and also move laterally relatively thereto to prevent possibility of the runners binding on the cantrails. As shown, the runner fittings 2 are provided with a lateral slot 5 which is engaged by a stud 6 provided with a head 9 the stud being carried by the end 1 of the hoop. stick. In a modification, upstanding pins on the runner fitting may engage a slot in the end 1 of the hoop-stick.
