Abstract

Magazines for type-barmaking machines.-In machines having matrices guided on wires, the continuity of which is interrupted by an elevator for conveying the matrices from casting to distributing position, means is provided for holding the ends of the wires immovably in spaced position. The end of each wire b, Fig. 2, is accommodated in a folded sheetmetal holder g, the middle of which forms an eye f of the same diameter as the wire. The free end of the wire is form-fed with a pin m, which is adapted to fit accurately within the eye f. The, holder is bent at right-angles, and is secured to a supporting part d, Fig. 3, by screws i passing into a block k. The blocks k fill the space between two holders, and ensure the correct spacing of the eyes f.
