Percussive tools.-In a centrifugal hammering tool comprising two or more cam-controlled strikers sliding on the arms of a rotating frame 1, the cam track is so shaped that the strikers are in contact therewith throughout, except just at the moment ot impact, that is, whilst the frame is moving through the angle AOB. For balancing purposes the opposite angular part A<1>OB<1> of the cam track is shaped to conform to the trajectory of a striker freely moving, as is the angular part DOA. The rising part BOA' may be a spiral or any other suitable curve, and the end 8 of the cam is made resilient. Specifications 201,124, 260,879, and 260,880 are referred to.
