Creel-frame arrangements; finishing and treating warps in looms.-Non- rotatable cops 5 upon which yarn has been wound by spinning or doubling or by winding silk directly from cocoons are, without other preliminary treatment, mounted in a creel 4 from which the threads 6 are taken through a spacer 7, a pair of clip rollers 8, lease rods 14, a second spacing reed 15, and under a resiliently-mounted tension roller 16 to an ordinary loom 3 from which the warp beam has been removed. The rollers 8 may be driven. In some cases the warps 6 may pass over a roller 10 to a sizing-box 9 and between guide rollers 11, 12 to a drying-cylinder 13 before passing to the clip rollers 8.
