Abstract

311,805. Kings Patent Agency, Ltd., and roster &. Sons, Ltd., J., (Storey, F.G.H.). Feb. 17, 1928. Locking-devices.-Relates to chases having lock-up mechanism, which is operated by a single screw. The chase is fitted with side and foot wedge-bars 2, 4 co-operating with wedges formed on side and foot sticks 3, 5. A screw 7, passing through the bottom bar of the chase, bears against the end of the wedge-bar 2, and turns in a nut 9, which rests between the side of the chase and the inclined end of the wedge-bar 4. Turning of the screw first advances the wedge-bar 2, to effect the lateral locking pressure, and then causes the nut 9 to move backwards along the screw, so as to operate the wedge-bar 4.
