Electric appliances.-Diseases such as tumours of a cancerous or canceriform nature in human beings and animals are treated by applying negative electricity to the affected cells or to the neighbouring tissues. Any electrostatic machine provided with a condenser and with means for adjusting the frequency of the discharges, or any known arrangement for producing an alternating potential, the waves of which are filtered so as to obtain the negative rectified portions thereof at the pole used for the treatment, may be employed.
