Securing levers &c. on shafts.-Relates to means for forming the serrations on the interior of the boss d of an arm, link, or lever to be secured to a shaft a, which is formed with corresponding serrations. the parts being maintained in driving connection by a nut g and washer j. The serrations in the boss may be formed by pressing or driving a series of tapered serrated drifts into the conical bore or by drilling the hole parallel, broaching it with parallel serrations, and then pressing or hammering in a tapered serrated drift to produce the final tapered serrated form of the boss.
