Holders, card; indicators, declaration. trump, and like.- A playing-card holder for use during card games comprises a plurality of plates secured along one or more edges with the lower portions or sides and bottom of the plates shaped to fit conveniently the palm of the hand, the more rearwardly located plates projecting at the upper margins beyond the more forwardly located plates to form pockets between the plates of each pair for the insertion of playing cards. As shown in Fig. 1, the holder comprises a number of superposed plates 22 - - 26 between which the various suits are inserted. The front plate 26 is provided with a number of slides movable within slots by means of eyelets 41 so as to indicate the number of cards that have been played in each suit and to indicate the bid and the honours held. Instead of indicating the number of cards played the markings may be modified so that the highest card played or to be played may be indicated A rotatable disc 57 indicates the trumps or " no trumps." An elastic loop is provided at the back of the holder for the player's finger thereby permitting him to adjust the slides and trump indicator with his thumb. In a modification, Fig. 5, a single slide 73 operable by an eyelet 74 is provided for unmasking a series of numerals one to thirteen for indicating the number of trump cards that have been played. Pivoted adjacent to the slide is an arcuate member 76 movable behind orifices 82, 83 so as to display the suit bid and the number of tricks required in that suit for game. A disc 87 rotatable by a serrated edge 88 indicates the size of the bid, and a disc 90 indicates the honours. An elastic band at the back of the device facilitates holding in the hand, and a hinged leg allows the holder to be set upon the table. In a further modification, the front plate masks a slide bearing the trump symbols and the corresponding values of the tricks. The slide may be adjusted to display the trump and its trick value respectively through two openings in the front plate. In a modification, Fig. 8, thirteen compartments are provided for the cards by means of overlapping partitions 112, and the arrangements for indicating the progress of the game are omitted. In a further modification, the cards are held within a single compartment formed by two plates.
