306,366. Crofoot, J. B. Aug. 8, 1928. Strips of staples.-A strip for a stapling machine has the final staple mutilated and provided with means engaged by the feed mechanism whereby the mutilated staple is automatically ejected. The strip, Fig. 3, is formed with perforations 20 engaged by the feed pawl and perforations 21 engaged by the non-return pawl; the final mutilated staple 19 is ejected by the feed pawl on its forward movement engaging shoulders 19<1> thereon.
