Abstract

306,009. Reavell, J. A. Oct. 14, 1927. Spreading liquids. - A spray-disc for use in drying apparatus has its surface roughened or formed with ribs or serrations extending substantially along arcs of circles concentric with the disc. The roughening may be effected by a carborundum blast. Fig. 1 shows a disc 1 as described in Specification 284,049 with concentric grooves 2 cut in its surface. In a modification, Fig. 2, the grooves are formed by building the disc of a series of thin sheets 3 clamped by rivets 6 between plates 4, 5. Liquid is led to the disc from a vessel 8 through holes 9.
