Abstract
305,078. Vial, E. A. Sept. 26, 1927. Cleansing - compositions-A cleaning or polishing cloth or mop, for wood, glass, &c., comprises a cloth or mop of yarn material impregnated with paraffin oil and a cleaning powder in finely divided condition. The paraffin oil may be emulsified with an equal part of wood alcohol and the cloth or mop, after impregnation, has rubbed into it a non-gritty saponaceous powder comprising a mixture of 50 per cent of the material sold under the Registered Trade Mark of " Bon-Ami," 25 per cent of the material sold under the Registered Trade mark " Old Dutch " Cleanser, and which comprises powdered cuttlefish and a saponaceous material, and 25 per cent of powdered hyposulphite of soda. The excess powder is shaken out after 24 hours, and a second powder comprising fine dental pumice is worked into the cloth or mop, the surplus being similarly removed. The mop is preferaly of cotton yarn held between twisted wires which are bent around at 4, 5 as shown for connection to a handle.
