Abstract

304,900. Tootal Broadhurst Lee Co., Ltd., Foulds, R. P., and Marsh, J. T. Jan. 9, 1928. Phenol-aldehyde condensation product for treating cellulosic fabrics is made by boiling together 100 parts of phenol, 100 parts 40 per cent formaldehyde, and 4 parts of potassium carbonate for five minutes and cooling rapidly. According to the Provisional Specification, the resin may consist of 100 parts phenol, 200 parts formaldehyde, and 6 parts potassium carbonate. Specifications 291,473 and 291,474 are referred to.
