Abstract

299,651. Linstrom, E. B. Jan. 31, 1928. Attaching machines to baseboards. - A typewriter is secured to a support, for instance the drop-shelf of a desk, by means of a hook which embraces the support and is secured to a cup receiving one of the feet of the typewriter, ready adjustment of the typewriter being permitted since the hook is not positively secured to the support. In the arrangement shown in the Figure, the typewriter 5 is associated at each side with a pair of cups 10 having depressions for receiving the feet 6, the cups being connected by bars 13 and the front cup being secured by a screw 8 to the typewriter. A hook 21 adapted to grip the support 9 is formed with an arm 17 which can slide in slots in the front cup and is formed with stop-lugs 19. The cups may have feet 16 of rubber &c. When it is not required to secure the typewriter, the hooks yield and rest on the support.
