Vacuum tubes.-In a multiple thermionic valve supplied from the mains the grid voltages are obtained by connecting the filaments 2 in series, the grid 7 of the last stage being connected with the negative end of the filament of the first stage, or with the negative side of a series resistance 19 mounted inside the envelope; the grid 6 of the second stage is also connected with the negative end of the first filament. Specification 240,455 is referred to.
