Indiarubber &c., attaching to other articles.- Boot, shoe, and like parts such as soles and uppers, insoles and soles and linings, are connected together, preferably after roughening the surfaces, by applying a solution containing liquid latex or rubber and vulcanizing substances, covering the layers formed by these coatings when dry with a rubber solvent solution containing an accelerator and pressing the surfaces into contact.. Divided fibres of materials such as hemp or flax may be incorporated in the first solution, if desired, prior to its application.
