Dec. 29, 1927, [Convention date]. Xantho compounds. - Ethoxythiocarbonylethoxycarbonyl sulphide is prepared by allowing ethylchlorocarbonate to react with an aqueous solution of potassium ethylxanthate at below 20‹ C. and diluting the mass with water. The product also contains xanthic anhvdride which is removed bv fractional distillation. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller fo Specification 284,198.
