Abstract

295,188. Kyle, R. Feb. 1, 1928. Fixed sieves.-In apparatus for sifting flour of the kind comprising a container 2, Fig. 1, with wire gauze bottom 1 and a rotary brush 8, the brush is of ogee shape as shown in Fig. 2, and the bristles 9 are inclined to the rearward of the direction of rotation. A bridge piece 5 secured to the edge of the container forms a bearing for the brush spindle 7, the vertical position of which is adjusted by nuts 12 engaging an abutment 10.
