Delivery of stamps, labels, and other articles cut from strips; coin action, thrust and multiple-coin. - In order to render a coin-freed postage stamp vending machine of the kind in which a band of stamps is fed forward for delivery by the rotation of a spiked drum, capable of delivering two alternative values of stamps without increasing the width of the machine, there is provided in a single machine two superposed delivery drums which are rotated in such directions as to issue stamps from a common aperture, The bands of stamps l<1>, l<2>, Fig. 3, are led over two superposed spiked delivery drums k<1>, k<2> which are rotated in opposite directions to deliver the stamps at a common aperture c, the stamps being retained by covers m<1> m<2>. Pronged stripping devices n<1> n<2> and serrated plates o<1>, o<2>, against which the perforated stamp is torn off, are provided. The drums are rotated, according to the coin inserted at an aperture b, Fig. 1, by links i', i<2> engaging respectively pins j on the drums, the links being connected to weighted levers d<1>, d<2>. The levers d<1>, d<2> are pivoted on a spindle e to which is keyed an arm f depending in the path of a coin thrust through the slot b, and two arms g<1> having pins h<1> each engaging one of the weighted levers. When a coin is inserted, it raises whichever weighted lever that happens to be depressed, and then after passing through a selecting or sorting shoot, it releases in known manner, according to its value, one or other of the drums k<1>, k<2> which rotates under the influence of the respective weighted lerver.
