Abstract

293,174. Robinson, I. May 28, 1927. Stands and tilters. -Relates to stands for oil drums &c. of the type in which the drum is tiltably supported in the stand by pivots on a band or cage, and in which manual locking means are provided. Acccording to the invention the drum is secured in a voke 4 which is adjustable to suit various diameters, and is tiltable on pivots 3. A locking member 12 normally retains the drum in the non-tilted position. A link 15 with a catch 17 is pivoted to the top of the stand and acts as a stop when returning the drum to the non-pouring position. The spout 11 of the drum may be provided with a spring controlled dust cap. The stands may be single or multiple.
