Abstract
293,142. Gratze, E. V. Hayes-. April 11,1927. Moulds; moulding vacuum tubes.-To mould a composition layer to imbed partly the letters &c. of electric discharge signs made of glass tube units a having backwardly-turned end extensions a<1> connected together so that the connecting parts and electrode chambers a<2> are uncovered by the composition, an inverse or face mould is used consisting of a bath of mercury, oiled saw-dust, sand or the like, the tube units being immersed to the required depth in the mould and plaster of Paris or other composition poured over the tube. Specification 241,375, [Class 39 (i), Electric lamps, Arc &c.], is referred to.
