290,655. Landis et Gyr Soc. Anon. May 19, 1927, [Convention date]. Induction motor meters. - Driving magnetcores for induction measuring instruments are made at least partly from iron powder. The powder is moulded with a binding material such as shellac or varnish. When the instrument has more than one core, one only, for example, the core of the current magnet, is made from iron powder. The energy consumption is reduced and, owing to the high initial permeability of iron powder, the magnetic flux at small currents is increased, less lead in the voltage circuit, produced by unsymmetrical arrangements and compensating for friction, being necessary.
