Abstract
290,603. Agfa Ansco Corporation, (Assignees of Bornmann, C., and Slocum, B. A.). 16, 1927, [Convention date]. Roll - film dark slides. - A wooden container having a slot for inserting or withdrawing the film, is provided with a metal lining between the film and the walls of the container to prevent fogging of the film due either to leakage of light through the wood or to the effect of fumes given off thereby. In the form shown, the container comprises a cylindrical chamber 2 formed in a wood block 1 and closed at each end by a metal plate. The film roll 3 is held by a guide 4 passing out of the container through the light-trapped film-slot 6, and held in position by turning over the end 5. The cylindrical wall of the chamber 2 is lined with a rolled metal sheet 10, held at one end 11 by the film guide 4, and secured to the wall of the container by adhesive or pressed thereagainst by its resilience.
