Abstract

290,456. Weisswange, K. A. June 15, 1927. Show-cards.-An advertising placard, poster, or like display device consists of a sheet of paper or pasteboard having a picture, design, or inscription printed thereon in a number of colours, the sheet being uniformly corrugated by a pressing or rolling process so as to have angles of slope lying in a number of planes which are not parallel to one another. Crepe-like places 2 form stripes in transverse direction to the corrugations 1, and cause further dispersal of the light falling on the placard. The distortion of the corrugations may be serpentine or zigzag in shape, or the corrugations may take the form of facets.
