Packing soft soap and the like.-In carrying out a process for the packing of soft soap, margarine, lard and like substances that become solid in a cold state, the substance, when fluid, is poured into a long tube a of cardboard, tin, &c. closed at one end with a cork b. The substance is then allowed to solidifv and the tube is cut at e into lengths corresponding to the usual retail quantities. The lengths a<1> may be closed by lids d and wrapped in paper c. The tubes may be lined with impermeable paper before filling, or may be coated.
