289,887. Siemens & Halske Akt.- Ges. May 6, 1927, [Convention date]. Addition to 287,065. Diaphragms.-A current conductor is secured to the diaphragm described in the parent Specification and comprising several rigid surfaces hingedly connected together, by pressing the conductor round the hinge portion so that it fits into ribs, folds or incisions provided on the hinge. As shown in Fig. 2 the hinge portion of the diaphragm has folds f formed by applying pressure to rectangular corrugations. The conductor which is V-shaped is pressed into the depressions between the folds by means of a clamping tool. In order to prevent slipping in the direction of the folds the conductor is also pressed into oblique cuts s, Fig. 3, formed in the hinge. Instead of folds, ribs may be adhesively secured to the diaphragm.
