Abstract
289,522. Druckrey, H., and Lamprecht Ges., H. Jan. 26, 1927. Moving-chamber apparatus.-Relates to bottles for storing liquids in a sterile condition. The stopper is hollow and serves as a closure for a tapping bore in the neck of the bottle and also as a receptacle for the substance from which a sterile solution is to be made. As shown, the stopper 5 is provided with a cavity 6 for the substance, three passages 7 - - 9 serving to establish communication with the tapping bore 3 or with the interior of the bottle through passages 8a, 10. When the stopper is turned to the position shown in Fig. 2a, an injection syringe may be inserted through a rubber cap 4 to withdraw any quantity of liquid from the cavity and bottle as the passage 9 registers with the passage 10 and the passage 8<a> permits the movement of air. When the stopper is turned so that the passage 8 registers with the bore 3 the contents of the cavity 6 only may be withdrawn. In other positions the stopper acts as a complete closure.
