Mimic diagrams of distribution networks.-The construction shown in Fig. 9 of the , parent Specification is modified by the provision of opaque shields 7 connected to the opaque separating strips 9 so that each lamp 1, 2, 3 illuminates one transparent strip only. Thus, by including the lamps in the various circuits, the strips can be used to indicate the position of electric wiring and also show which circuits are working. Also in cases where a single line of wire is connected to a 3-phase circuit so as to be energized by the different phases alternatively, each lamp may indicate the reception of current of a different phase from the 3-phase system. Fig. 2 shows a development of this last idea in which lamps 12, 13, 14 of different colours illuminate a single undivided transparent body 11, the colouring indicating the particular phase of current under reception.
