Scrapers, pan and like. -A scouring device for pots, pans &c. consists of a stout wire frame provided with a handle, and carrying a mass of abrading material, e.g. wire fabric, metal wool, metal turnings, contained in an envelope composed of comparatively wide mesh material. In the preferred form, the envelope is integral with the contained abrading material, i.e., a sleeve of knit wire fabric, which may be slit, is tied with wire and rolled up on the wire frame, the outer part of the rolled-up sleeve forming the envelope. As shown in Fig. 1, a circular wire frame 1, having a handle 2, carries the abrading mass 3 which is bound with wire to the handle adjacent to the inner end thereof. The frame may be circular, or several circular elements may be disposed about a common diameter, so that the abrading mass has a spherical formation. The frame may be pyramidal, triangular or elliptical form. 'The handle may be separate from the frame and secured thereto subsequent to rolling up the sleeve on the frame. The wire. loop forming the handle 2 may be replaced by a single length of wire which is fitted in a wooden or other handle. The outer portion of the abrading mass may be of one colour, e.g., of a copper hue, and the inner portion of another colour, e.g. silvery white.
