287,666. D. P. Battery Co., Ltd., Drake, B. M., and Waddell, J. Jan. 19, 1927. Separators.-Storage battery electrodes are separated from one another by layers of glass wool wound round the electrodes, the wool being so wound that the fibres of one layer are at an angle to the fibres of the adjacent layer. One method consists in wrapping the wool round the plate commencing at one side until the plate is covered with one layer extending across the width of the plate, a second layer being then wound on starting from the bottom and extending along the length of the plate. In a second method the layers are wound diagonally. The terminals on each plate may also be covered with glass wool.
