Abstract

287,642. Brown, R. S. Dec. 24, 1926. Tools. - A block for holding sheet abrasive material is made in two parts A, B secured together by a screw C, or other means, pins G being provided on the parts to penetrate one or more abrasive sheets F, which is or are passed round the part B and clamped between the two parts, tension being applied by a rib or ribs J on one part entering a corresponding recess or recesses on the other part. A soft backing E may be provided on the part B; if the packing is resilient, it may be clamped between the blocks with the abrasive sheet; the abrasive sheet may be omitted, granular abrasive material being applied loosely to the resilient backing.
