Electrodes. - The invention of the parent Specification is modified by the use of removable receptacles adapted to contain the tubular electrodes to be filled and also a supply of active material. The receptacles are rotated to cause the active material to pass into the electrodes. Fig. 1 shows a machine for rotating the receptacles g which are suspended in holders e on the ends of a beam b carried by a shaft a. Each receptacle g carries a number of tubular electrodes d, as shown in Fig. 4, and is provided with a funnel i which is filled with active material. A. base piece h closes the receptacle g. Any number of receptacles may be rotated at the same time by providing a corresponding number of beams and holders b, e.
