Screw -nails; nails, barbed, serrated, and like.-A headed nail adapted to secure metal members together has a blunt end and an indented portion providing deformable projections, and a cylindrical neck portion between the head and the indented portion, the neck not exceeding in diameter the overall size of the indented portion. The nail may have longitudinal ribs 7 formed by indenting the shank or may have helical or circumferential ribs as shown in Figs. 3 and 4. The head may have flats 4 or a driver-slot 9 to facilitate removal.
