Abstract

285,508. Peyinghaus, W., (trading as Eisenund Stahlwerk W. Peyinghaus). Feb. 18, 1927, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Breaking.-In a process for the separation of metal parts made of different metals connected by welding, soldering, brazing, casting &c., particularly for the separation of brass, gunmetal, &c. from iron and steel. the articles are heated in a reducing or inert atmosphere to a temperature, below the melting point of the metals, at which the brass &c. becomes brittle, whereupon the brass &c. is broken away from the iron or steel by light hammer blows.
