Indicators directly operated by hand for displaying variable information.-An inindicator rack for displaying information regarding the location and condition of railway wagons or other articles comprises rows of pockets formed by metal or wood sheets G inserted in inclined grooves e, f in the side-walls E, F of a panel A. Pins or screws d at the bottom of each pocket provide supports for the indicator cards C, C' placed in the pocket, and coloured pegs K are inserted in holes h in horizontal bars H to indicate the number of days a wagon is absent. A number of panels may be placed back to back or hinged together or mounted to revolve upon a central pillar.
