Heating by electricity. -A flexible electric heating element is secured in position around a tank or the like by an elastic and self-adjusting fastening. The casing 5 of the element is formed with extensions 13, one of which carries a spring 14 terminating in a hook 15 which can be made to engage with any link of a chain 16 carried by the other extension.
