Abstract
282,478. Davy, R. Aug. 25, 1926. Cutting-edges, shaping and treating; processes, special-Blades for safety razors are formed from a continuous strip A with perforations B which serve to position the finished blades in their holders, and notches C which define regions of fracture for subsequent separation of the blades, the strip being passed over a plane support D on which it is centred by pins or studs E co-operating with the perforations or notches and on which the edges are subjected to grinding, honing &c. operations. The operations may be performed on successive supports, in which case some of the supports may be curved as described in Specification 258,142. The edges of the strip may overlap the support to facilitate application of the grinding &c. wheels thereto, and the pins or studs may be periodically withdrawn to permit movement of the strip.
