Indicators directly operated by hand for displaying variable information.-A portable indicator for ascertaining the route of tramcars &c. comprises a disc b bearing information such as destinations, numbers, and colours and rotatable on a card a so as to display the information through apertures m, n, o in the card. A recess r is provided in the edge of the card so that the disc mav be rotated bv means of serrations on its periphery. The card preferably bears the representation of a vehicle, the apertures appearing in the positions they occupy on the actual vehicle.
