279,371. Lyon & Lyon, Ltd. Oct. 22, 1926, [Convention date]. Battery lamps.-In electric torches for attachment to small-arms for night shooting, the switch contacts are arranged outside the torch and are actuated by a resilient trigger. In the construction shown in Fig. 2 the torch, shown in section, is secured to the gun by clips 10 and a resilient trigger 6 is arranged to close the switch contacts 1. To prevent these from being closed when the gun is not in use, a piece of insulation 6<a>, slidably secured to the trigger, is moved into position between the contacts. The torch shown in Fig. 3 has a case of insulating material encircled by metal bands 12, 13 to one of which the contact spring 16 is secured. The circuit is closed by pressing this spring into contact with the band 13. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1002/11, 27658/11, [both in Class 119, Smallarms]; 22939/13, and 3992/14.
