Abstract
278,316. Wessel, W. Oct. 1, 1926, [Convention date]. File-cutting.-Files a are provided with teeth by first milling serrations having vertical breasts b<1> by means of a cutter g comprising a series of elements of the same size, and then pressing the upper parts f of the teeth by a press tool c or roller, to give the necessary rake and clearance to the cutting edges. The press tool may operate at an angle to the blank in which case its working surface is normal to its axis, and the pressing roller may be cylindrical or conical working on an axis inclined or parallel to the blank.
